We are currently in our third year of the Elementary Education Degree Program at UVic.  For our three week practicum, we will be traveling to Kenya, Africa to teach in a small village called Ulamba for five weeks, starting April 28, 2010.  The education system in Ulamba is corrupted by unlawful leaders and suffers from immense poverty.  Our mission is to help foster a fair educational program at Ulamba’s school so that all students are entitled to a fair education.  We look forward to creating a successful reading program, coaching current teachers on modern practices, and supplying all students with writing tools.
